Died Tuesday morning July 2, 2019. Jane was born August 11, 1925 in Edinburgh, Scotland a daughter of James and Christina (Wilson) Lamb. Jane was united in marriage to Lyle Lanphear on June 16, 1945 in Edinburgh and came to Kalamazoo in 1946. Jane was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and worked as a volunteer at Borgess Medical Center for over 25 years. Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lyle M. Lanphear on July 27, 1991; a brother, Robert; and 2 sisters, Mary Swaney and Dorothy Lamb. She is survived by 3 children, Robert (Margaret) Lanphear and Kenneth (Laurie) Lanphear all of Kalamazoo, and Ian (Karen) Lanphear of South Bend, IN; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Lanphear, Kathleen Lanphear, Jimmy (Allie) Lanphear, Kristi (David) Fiedler, and Joseph (Naysa) Lanphear; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice.
