James Roy Vandenberg passed away on December 31st,2021 at his home in Bloomingdale Michigan. Jim was born May 3rd 1963,in Kalamazoo Mi the son of James and Martha Kay (Busch)Vandenberg.

Jim graduated from Kalamazoo, Loy Norrix in 1981, where he participated in choir, ski club, and several musical productions. During which time he formed many life long friendships, some of which he was thrilled to have recently reunited with. Jim was a hard worker, he tried his hand at everything from paper routes to harvesting cherries up North, to a short stint at Cadillac coffee. Jim found his true passion in the automotive industry though, where he did everything from running lube shops to building one from the ground up. He was a Service Manager at Don Seelye Ford and at the Motor Zone. Jim loved the Outdoors. Some of the many hobbies he enjoyed were fishing, camping, cooking and hunting. Jim enjoyed being around people and making them laugh, he was often considered the life of the party, but he also loved helping people and would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it. Most of all Jim loved being a father, his son was always the reason for Jim to be stronger, try harder and keep pushing forward no matter what obstacles he encountered.

Jim is survived by his son Christopher James Vandenberg, His parents James and Marty Vandenberg, and his sisters Amy (Steve) Moorlag and Michelle (Cliff) Devine. Also his Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim will be missed by us all including some very close friends of which are considered by us to be family.
