James Harold Selner

James H. Selner, age 88 of Portage, died on October 9, 2020, at Rose Arbor Hospice Home. He was born February 4, 1932, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the son of Harold and Ruth (Steger) Selner. Jim was a longtime resident of the Parchment area, where he graduated High School. He worked at James River for over 40 years, until his retirement. He enjoyed the community and volunteered as a Parchment Little League coach for over 20 years. His family includes his children: Linda (Jim) Bowler, James (Mary) Selner, Jr., and Debbie Andrews; his 4 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; his sister Barbara (Max) Lonsberry; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Selner, his son John Selner, and his brother Ron Selner. Following his wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at East Cooper Cemetery.
