Kalamazoo, MI James "Jim" Dollahan passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Jim was born in the area of Robinson, IL on May 23, 1933. He graduated from State High School and WMU. Jim was a member of the Platoon Leaders Class PLC program of the United States Marine Corps Reserve USMCR from 1953-54, and the US Army 4th Infantry Division Special Troops from 1954-56. Jim retired from Humphrey Products after 30 years of service in 1997. Jim was joined in marriage to Jan J. Correll in 1970. He is survived by his mother, Mildred "Crystal" Warner; five children, Patricia Dollahan Merrill and husband Douglas, Daniel Dollahan and wife Karin, Jill Dollahan Avalos and husband Fernando, Sally Dollahan Johnston and husband Charles, and Molly Dollahan Gortsema and husband Scott; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sue Correll Heinrich and husband Alfred; brother-in-law, Robert Correll and wife Marliss; and several cousins. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 Thursday morning, June 11th, 2015 at First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo, 345 W. Michigan Ave., with Rev. Nathan Dannison officiating. Jim's family will receive guests at the church beginning at 10:00 and again following the service. Private inurnment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery where Jim will join his wife Jan who passed away in 2005. Memorial donations may be directed to the Jan Dollahan Choir Fund at First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo. Arrangements and services were provided by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street.
