Irene Elizabeth (Jones) Dutton

Irene Elizabeth Dutton, 113, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 in Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born July 16, 1906 in Kalamazoo, MI a daughter of Fred W. and Elizabeth (DeRuyter) Jones and had been a lifelong area resident. On January 8, 1931, Irene married Edwin J. Dutton who preceded her in death on June 12, 1982. Irene was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Doris Jones, Helen Koth and Betty Ann Middlebush; and a brother, Mayland Jones. Irene is survived by a son, Fred Dutton with whom she lived; a daughter, Betty Tesar; two grandsons, Christopher D. Chandler and Courtney K. Chandler; two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a niece and a nephew. Private graveside services will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo. Memorials may be directed to Westwood United Methodist Church where Irene was a member for more than 50 years.
