Passed away Tuesday evening, July 5, 2016. Hank was born August 9, 1922 in Kalamazoo and was a lifelong resident in the area. Hank was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a bomber pilot during World War II an instructor during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Colonel. Prior to his retirement Hank was employed for over 40 years with Allied Paper as an accountant in the payroll department. Hank attended Bethany Reformed Church and enjoyed being outdoors working in his yard. On February 17, 1953 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Marian Johnson who survives. Hank is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother George. There will be no visitation and a private graveside will be held in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center or Heartland Hospice.
