Loving husband, father, and friend passed away November 18, 2015. Greg was born on August 1, 1963, to Frank and Betty (Willems) Papierz in Kalamazoo. He served for six years in the United States Air Force. Greg was employed at Zoetis and he was an active member of the 1st Michigan Infantry, a local regiment for civil war reenactments. He was an avid fly fisherman and found refuge in the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. Greg was married to "Miss Beverly", who will miss the sweet, kindhearted gentleman he was. He will also be missed by his mother; sons, Jacob Papierz of Otsego and Patrick Quarry of Texas Township; brother, Gary Papierz of Kalamazoo; sisters, Julie (Ken) Munting of Kalamazoo, Lisa Papierz of Kentucky, and Kara Papierz of Kalamazoo. He was preceded in death by his father. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 22nd, from 2-5 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 23rd, at 11 am at the First Reformed Church of Portage, 7905 S. Westnedge Ave. Friends may visit from 10-11. Burial with full military honors, will be conducted at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
