Died Thursday afternoon May 4, 2017. Glenna was born December 17, 1929 in Grand Rapids, Michigan a daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Leach) Kimp. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1952, coming from Grand Rapids. Glenna also attended Calvary Bible Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Richard Kimp. On August 1, 1952, she was united in marriage to Seymour "Si" Monsma who survives. Also surviving, a daughter, Lori (John) Clement of Paw Paw; a son, Roger (Laura) Monsma of Portage; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Friday, May 12 at the Agape Christian Church, 609 Cherokee St., Kalamazoo, Michigan. Friends may meet the family 5-8pm Thursday, May 11 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St., Kalamazoo, Michigan. Private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Kairos Dwelling or to Southern Care Hospice.
