Of Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday morning, December 25, 2010. Glenn was born September 15, 1929 in Kalamazoo the son of Harry and Minnie Olson Roberts. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Hope Reformed Church, and the Otsego VFW Post 3030. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 55 years in the grocery business. Glenn was an avid golfer and enjoyed art, painting and gardening. On October 6, 1956 Glenn was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Janet Strong, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Jerry Roberts, David Carol Roberts, Deb Jerry Havenaar, Diane Gordon Henderson; 13 grandchildren, Ben Mandy, Mike Emily, Aubrie, Gregory, Brady, Cody, Brittani, Rachelle, Erika, Kari, Mikah, Kamryn, and Karlee; 1 great-grandson, Chase; 2 brothers, Gene Cecelia Roberts, Donald Roberts; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee Roberts; and a brother, Dale Roberts. Services will be held at 11:00 o'clock Wednesday at Hope Reformed Church, 910 Jenks Blvd, with Pastor Kent Frens officiating. Friends may meet the family this evening from 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Hope Reformed Church. www.langelands.com
