Gail E. Stoops (Collard, Liskovec), age 83 of Kalamazoo, died on December 6, 2020. She was born January 3, 1937, in Herrin, Illinois, the daughter of Gene and Faye (Busch) Collard. Gail was a 1954 graduate of Galesburg High School, after transferring from Herrin High School during her senior year. She retired as the Transportation Supervisor from Galesburg-Augusta High School. Gail's passion was for art and many of her murals can be seen around local communities, including the Kalamazoo VFW, Galesburg High School and the Charleston Fire Department. After meeting at a dance, Gail and Duane "Mick" Stoops danced their way through 18 years of marriage together. They traveled in their motorhome, took walks through nature, and enjoyed a beautiful life together. Her family includes her husband Mick Stoops; her children: Lynda (Randy) Sharpe, Kim (Arnie) Polmanteer, and Rick Liskovec and their father Richard Liskovec; her step-children Michelle (Jef) Bennett and Jeff (Tony) Stoops; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Jann (Mark) Clark and Phyllis (Greg) Forster; and several nieces and nephews. A private memorial gathering will be held for Gail. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The family is very grateful to the caregivers at the Laurels of Galesburg who cared so compassionately for Gail. Please visit Gail's personalized online guestbook at https://www.langelands.com
