Francis E. Desposato, age 92 of Kalamazoo, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on May 28, 2021. Frank was born September 23, 1928, in Spokane, Washington, the son of Gus and Ruth (Wissenback) Desposato. After receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University, he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Dow Chemical in Texas for several years before settling in Michigan, where he worked and retired from The Upjohn Company. On March 20, 1954, Frank married Elizabeth "Betty" Cline. They shared 67 wonderful years together, traveling, camping, and enjoying their family. Frank was a former member of the ski patrol at Timber Ridge and a Boy Scout Troop leader. He enjoyed biking, music, gardening (especially tomatoes) and baking. Frank's family includes his wife Betty Desposato; his children: Thomas Desposato, Sue (Glenn) Morgan, and David (Jacqueline) Desposato; his 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, John and Richard Desposato. A private memorial service will be held in honor of Frank at the Fountains at Bronson Place on Tuesday, June 8th.
