Frances M. Wilson

June 28, 1922 — August 19, 2013

WILSON, Frances M. Hale
of Three Rivers, Michigan Passed away Monday evening, August 19, 2013. Frances was born June 28, 1922 the daughter of Donald and Grace Schippers Vaughn. Frances was a part of what was called "the greatest generation". She worked at the Ruby's Clothing Store for several years and enjoyed knitting. Frances was known for knitting articles of clothing for her family and friends, and anyone in need. She also enjoyed taking care of her cats and dogs; and was involved with various local and national animal charities. Fran grew up during the depression; she married Bill at the beginning of WWII and had their first child while he was overseas serving in the Army Air Corps. Bill passed away in 1964 and shortly after that she and Paul were married. Paul was a longtime family friend and also served in the Air Corp during WWII. When she married Paul she became the mother to 3 more boys in addition to David, and Chris. That kept her more than busy for many years. It was a big crew with lots of love. Even her nieces from the Calihan family thought of her as a second Mom. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Hale; second husband, Paul Wilson; son, Chris Hale; daughter-in-law, Jody Wilson; grandson, Alex Wilson; and a sister, Virginia Calihan. Frances is survived by her sons, David Ann Hale, David Wilson, Scot Barb Wilson, Patrick Wilson; 5 grandchildren, Kaitlin, Steve, Donnyel, Scott, Kisten; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the SPCA or any local VFW Post. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre.
