CLARK, Floyd M.
Of Kalamazoo Floyd passed away early Monday morning, June 13, 2011 at his home. He was born August 31, 1930 in Monett, Arkansas, the son of John and Lora Thomas Clark. Floyd was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. On August 11, 1951, he was united in marriage to Virginia Jordan. Floyd was employed by the Kalamazoo Gazette for 20 years until his retirement in 1996 and delivered their newspapers for over 50 years. Surviving are three children, Deborah Eric Craig of South Bend, Eddo Kim Clark of Kalamazoo, and Charles Kimberly Plunkett Clark of Galesburg; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Blanchett and Mathel Murray; one brother, Max Dale Clark; and cousins, Leaida Roy Greenwalt and Kenny Sonya Clark; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife of 57 years, Virginia Clark; son, Floyd Clark; and two brothers, Harold and Therral Clark. Memorial services for Floyd will be at 2:00 PM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1-2 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Private interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock.
