Of Oakley, MI Passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Three Rivers Hospital, after a short illness. Eva was born on August 1, 1933 in St. Charles, MI. Eva grew up in Oakley, MI, eventually moving to the Kalamazoo and Galesburg areas. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Karwat of Oakley, MI and 8 brothers and sisters. Eva is survived by one sister, Angie Nash of Oakley, MI; two sons, Joseph LuAnn Hansen of Vicksburg, MI and Paul Lori Hansen of Portage; four grandchildren, Nick Hansen of Vicksburg, MI, Justin Hansen of Portage, Kasey Bubba Smith of Portage, and D.J. Hansen of Portage; two great-grandchildren, Karlee and Blake Smith of Portage; several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the First Freewill Baptist Church, 630 Moline St., Comstock, MI. Pastor Lon Bauma will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave.
