Esther Marie Bogard

BOGARD, Esther Marie On Sunday, January 25, 2015, Esther passed away in Lawton, MI. She was born July 4, 1923 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Howard and Anna Engel Myers and had been a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. On August 8, 1942, she married Harold S. Bogard, who preceded her in death on May 10, 2011. She was also preceded by 2 brothers, Alfred and Robert Myers. Esther is survived by her children, David Shawn Bogard of Portage, Sandra Gerald Spears of Marcellus, Carol Charles Landrum of Marcellus and Peter Linda Bogard of Scotts; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30PM at the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2381 Romence Road, Portage, with Rev. Mark Gieschen, officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday Today from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. Burial will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church.
