WASSON, Ernest "LeRoy"
Of Kalamazoo LeRoy passed away Friday, August 5, 2011 at Tendercare of Westwood. He was born July 30, 1931 in Bald Knob, Arkansas, the son of Cleveland and Mabel Sparks Wasson. LeRoy was a veteran of the United States Army from 1957-1963. Surviving are three children, Sandra Casey of Richland, Sharyl Ronald Stewart of Blytheville, Arkansas and Darryl Wasson of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Martha Wasson of Oklahoma, one sister, Patsy Eldon Anderson of Arkansas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Gladys Brannum and Velma Harder. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the time of funeral services at 1:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Interment with military honor will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
