Elizabeth "Betty" R. Adams passed away July 4, 2018 in Kalamazoo. Betty was born October 4,1930 in Mt. Greenwood, IL., a daughter of Joseph P. and Elizabeth K. (Schurer) Abrams. On April 24, 1954 she was united in marriage to Daniel J. Adams, who preceded her in death on April 10, 1995. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1991, coming from Colon, MI. Betty lived in Mt. Greenwood, IL for 43 years where she was employed at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, IL in the Medical Records Library and Morgue. Betty also worked for the Little Company of Mary Hospital, Evergreen Park, IL in the Outpatient and Chemistry Labs. She retired in 1973. Betty was a devoted daughter to her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Abrams and a loving wife to her late Husband, Daniel J. Adams. She was preceded in death by two brother, Joseph Abrams, Douglas Abrams and Florence DuCharme. She also was preceded in death by her very special friend Paul Jenkins in July, 2012. In accordance with Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Fort Custer National Cemetery (those attending please meet at cemetery cortege assembly area).
