BENSINGER, Earl V.
Of Kalamazoo
Went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2019. Earl was born June 28, 1931 in Pullman, MI, the son of Rueben and Myrtle (Hayes) Bensinger. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1950-54. Throughout the years Earl was a small business owner for several businesses, including Laundromats and TV Sales & Services. He has been a member since 1959 of Northeastern Baptist Church, where he had been very active and served in many capacities through the years. Earl especially enjoyed golfing and fishing.
On July 15, 1955 he was united in marriage to Trula (Adams) Bensinger who preceded him in death on June 10, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Dale, Ray and Lyle Bensinger and a grandson Joseph Jepsen. Surviving are his children, Michael (Ann) Bensinger and Amy (Daniel) Jepsen; four grandchildren, Brian Bensinger, Mark Bensinger, Rachel (Mike) Polston, Sarah (Mitchell) Thain; great-grandchildren Skyler and Timothy Polston; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8th from 1-2PM at Northeastern Baptist Church (6536 East G Ave.), where a Memorial Service will begin at 2:00PM Friday. Following services there will be a reception in the church hall. Burial will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 9th at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
