Donna passed away on Tuesday afternoon, August 9, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. She was born on July 8, 1930 in Battle Creek, the daughter of the late Haywood Sr. and Ida (Cross) Stafford. She was employed by the United States Postal Service for 37 years until her retirement in 1999. Surviving are her two daughters: Marsha Emory (Willie Mayberry) and Corrine McShan; three grandchildren: George Anderson IV (Linda), Kwame Hooker and Tomasina Guidry (Garyl Jr); six great-grandchildren: Baileigh, Jazzmyne, Karlee Mae, Mahalia, Diallo and Garyl III; five sisters: Joyce, Felicia, Frances, Thelma and Betty; brother, Leonard and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her daughter: Marcia McShan; and six brothers, Gerald, George, William, Ronald, Joseph and Haywood Jr.; long-time companion: Jimmie Reese Sr; and former spouse Oran McShan. Friends may visit with Donna's family from 10-11 AM on Monday, Aug. 15, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, with a service to celebrate Donna's life at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
