Donald Richard MacLeay, 88, died Tuesday morning, June 9, 2020, at his home. He was born January 29, 1932, in Delton, MI the son of the late Arnold and Frances "Helen" (Patnoude) MacLeay. Don served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Don worked 41 years for Sutherland Paper, James River, Brown Company and Georgia Pacific before retiring. Don enjoyed traveling with his wife in their motor home, boating, and riding snowmobiles. He also treasured his time at home in the pool with his grandchildren, family, and friends. On July 27, 1951, Don married the former Mary Lou Sears who preceded him in death on March 3, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Constance Dekker. Don is survived by three sons, David (Yvonne) MacLeay, Daniel (Patricia) MacLeay and Douglas (Christine) MacLeay; six grandchildren, Denise, Traverse, Donald, Sarah, Nicholas, and Amy; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside services will be held 1:30 pm Friday, June 12, 2020, in Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South, with Pastor David Downs officiating.
