Domingo Juarez, affectionately known as Mingo, was born on December 12, 1959 in Elsa, TX to Tomasa Martinez (Mother) and Feliciano Juarez (Father). There he attended grade school and worked alongside his family in the fields as they were migrant workers. He lived in Texas with his family until they moved to Kalamazoo, MI in May of 1980. Here, Mingo worked a couple more years with his family in migrant work. Today, Mingo is best remembered as a Brother, an Uncle, or friend whose home was always open. He could always be found on his front porch, walking down the block, making his rounds, or chillin down at Jack's with his best friend Singh.
Although Mingo was not married, I guess you can say he was married to his money! Mingo enjoyed playing the lottery and was known to be a lucky scratch-off ticket winner. Some of his favorite things were Diet Pepsi, Arizona Green Tea, Oatmeal Crème Pies, and Honey Buns. His favorite candies were Tootsie Rolls and Tootie Frooties, which he kept his pockets full of, and could be found passing them out to his nieces and nephews.
On December 26, 2021 Mingo took his last breath. At the age of 62, Mingo is now joined with his Mother and Father in Heaven and outlived by his seven siblings; Gabriela Ledesma, Pedro Juarez, Jose Prieto, Isabel Martinez, Hermelinda Prieto, Delia Prieto, Guadalupe Prieto and many nieces and nephews.
