BOSKER, DELORES "DEE" Delores Mae Bosker, age 75, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2015 with her family present. Delores was born July 15, 1939 in Grandville, MI, the daughter of the late "Mayor" Henry and Lena Land Alkema. While attending Western Michigan University she met the love of her life, Paul A. Bosker at the Geneva Club. Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage last summer. Dee drove a school bus for the Kalamazoo Public School System for over 35 years; even after retiring her love of driving continued when she drove the Friendship Village Bus. She was a member of the Third Christian Reformed Church for over 50 years, serving as deaconess for some years. Delores enjoyed every summer of her life at the cottage on Half Mile Lake, near Greenville, MI. Dee loved classical music, traveling, reading, but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband Paul are their children, Carla Joy Bosker and Craig Alkema Dara Bosker; twin grandchildren, Kendall Cay and Seena Claire Bosker; a sister, Ruth Reister; two brothers, Eugene Donna Alkema and Dr. H. Dale Alkema; in-laws, Bonnie Alkema, John Linda Bosker, Joyce Bosker, Mary Bosker; nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00AM Tuesday, April 28th at Third Christian Reformed Church 2400 Winchell Ave., where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Baker officiating. Following a luncheon at the church interment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorials in Dee's memory may be directed to Third Christian Reformed Church Music & Arts Fund or a charity of your choice.
