David P. Vergon, Sr

VERGON, David P., Sr
of Kalamazoo Passed away August 5, 2011. He was born May 3, 1944 in Wabash, IN and had lived in Kalamazoo for many years. While here, he worked for Roto-Finish for over 24 years and retired from the State of Michigan after many years of service. He was a hard worker who always provided for his wife and children. David was a jack of all trades and enjoyed watching the Tigers, the Cubs and Jeff Gordon in NASCAR racing. He also liked to tell stories and loved all animals. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Laura M. Vergon; his brother, Jerry; and his parents. David is survived by his loving children, David, Jr. Michelle Vergon, of Portage and Laurie Russell Miller of Hastings. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with interment following in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock Township. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, beginning at 12:00 Noon.
