Darrell Lee Hughson

Darrell "D.H." Hughson, age 68, died June 2, 2019 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born December 26, 1950, the son of Samuel and Bernadette Hughson, who preceded him in death. D.H. was a graduate of Portage Northern High School and retired as a chemical operator from Upjohn/Pfizer. He was a driver for the Greater Kalamazoo Auto Auction. Community involvement was important and he retired from the Comstock Township Fire Department and the Kalamazoo Township Sheriff Reserve. D.H. had a love for street rods and was a member of the NSRA, proudly showing the car he had restored himself. On October 3, 1987, he married Deborah VandeWerken, and together they shared a beautiful life with their sons, grandchildren, and their dogs. D.H.'s family includes his wife Deborah Hughson; his sons: William Miner III, Phillip (Amy) Miner, and Timothy Miner; his cherished grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Marsha Hughson.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007, where his service will be held at 12:00pm with Pastor Jerwan Jones officiating.
