NEUBERT, Cyril V. "Cy"
Of Kalamazoo Cy passed away early Tuesday morning, December 21, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born April 1, 1915 in Renova, PA, the son of the late Edward and Barbara Eberl Neubert. Cy was a 1937 graduate of St. Bonaventure University in Allegany, NY earning his B.A. degree in Accounting. He later earned his CPA and was employed as an accountant for over 40 years, retiring from Mobil Oil Corp. in 1980. Cy also operated a private tax accounting practice for over 60 years. Cy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Cy also enjoyed traveling to keep his family connected. On December 31, 1941, Cy was united in marriage to Kathryn Walsh, who preceded him in death in March 1971. On June 28, 1975, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Kraft, who survives. Also surviving are his four children, Barbara Jeff Pascua of Portland, OR, Gerald Patricia Neubert of Fairbanks, AK, Thomas Beverly Neubert of San Antonio, TX, Dede Frank Lucatelli of Kalamazoo; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Martha Rees of Winchester, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 926 Lake Street, with Msgr. Michael Hazard celebrant. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM on Sunday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street. Interment will be in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Tarrytown, NY. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cyril V. Neubert Endowed Scholarship at St. Bonaventure University.
