PELTON, CHRISTOPHER ALAN

Christopher Alan Pelton (Chris), 59, of Schoolcraft died on April 9, 2021 in his home from Pancreatic Cancer. Chris was born on December 18, 1961 in Bay City, Michigan to Philip and Mary Ann Pelton. He grew up in Standish, Michigan. Chris married Lori Heideman in August, 1989 and they moved to Schoolcraft, MI where they have been ever since with their children Phil and Livi. Chris was a Federal Agent at the IRS.
Chris was a loving husband and father as well as an avid fisherman, hunter, sports enthusiast, and gardener. Extremely generous with his time, Chris enjoyed teaching others to hunt and fish, often sharing his fish with others at his beloved fish fries. He spent his summer days golfing with his children (Phil and Livi), grilling for his family on annual camping trips, and driving the boat for tubing trips around the lake.
Chris is survived by his wife, Lori, son, Philip (Aubrey Hooker), daughter Olivia, his parents Phil & Mary Ann Pelton, Brother, Perry (Rose) Pelton, Sisters: Linda (Terry) Benchley, Diane (Kenny) Senske, Kelly (Dan) Meschke, Father/Mother-In-Law, Fred & Nancy Heideman, Sister-In-Law Amy (Chris) Desmond, Brothers-In-Law Jim (Diane) Heideman, Mike (Rosalind) Heideman, Mark Heideman, and Fred Heideman.
His nieces and nephews are: Jilianne Sperling, Brianne Harrison, Karmyn Revord, Lance Senske, Erika Senske, Elizabeth Link, Michael Pelton, Nathan Pelton, Emily Meschke, Derek Meschke, Morgan Heideman, Markie Heideman, Hailey Heideman, Collin Heideman, Jack Desmond and Max Desmond. He has several great nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Mattawan, Michigan at noon on Saturday, April 17, 2021.
