Chuck passed away early Saturday morning, June 18, 2016 at his home. He was born on November 21, 1932 in South Bend, IN, the son of Charles and Anna (Bass) Nidiffer. Chuck was a graduate of Western Michigan University where he was a WMU Football Alumni. He was a member of Gull Lake United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife of 61 years: Dolores Nidiffer; their three children: Robyn (Ralph) Hammermeister of Stevensville, Pam (James) Brand of Galesburg and Mark (Beth) Nidiffer of Nokomis, FL; four grandchildren: Chris Hammermeister, Kyle (Cassie) Hammermeister, Nick Brand and Eric Brand; brother: Jim (Mariam) Nidiffer; sister: Dixie (Maynard) Gray; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, June 21, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway Kalamazoo. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 22, at Gull Lake United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions in Chuck's name may be directed to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) or a charity of one's choice.
