Passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. She was 71 years old. Catherine was born on February 16, 1946. She retired from GTE after many years of service. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Stony Brooks Evans; four children, Jeff Turske, Jack (Anouk) Turske, Angela Strouse and Amy McNee; eight grandchildren, Isabella & Justin, Joshua & Nicholas, Alexis & Matthew and Sierra & Brennan. Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. followed by a short prayer service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 15th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. A graveside service will be held in Alpena at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
