Catherine Beck, age 99, passed away July 23, 2019 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born May 13, 1920 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Edgar and Sylvia (Whitmore) Dean. On December 22, 1948, she was united in marriage to Frederick Beck, who preceded her in death on March 13, 2012. She was also preceded by a son and wife Dallas and Ann Beck; and her siblings Cathleen Boers and Cecil Dean.

For many years Catherine was employed at KVP/Brown Company and later she was a devoted homemaker raising her family. Following retirement Fred & Catherine enjoyed spending their winters in Florida. She was an avid nature lover and enjoyed her flowers, birds and especially her loving care of her cats.

Catherine enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are two children, Dennis (Susanne) Beck and Cynthia (Paul) Brule; seven grandchildren John (Page) Beck, Charlene (Jason) French, Cheries Brule, Christina (Alan) White, Paul (Najet) Brule, Sarah (Adam) Leeper and Devon (Brittany) Beck; seven great-grandchildren Hunter, Morgan, Isaac, Benjamin, Leianna, Liam, and Nathan.

Funeral services for Catherine will be at 11:00am on Saturday, July 27th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S. Burdick St. Interment will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, July 26th at the funeral home.
