Carol Stamm Hopp was released from her pain and confusion on Saturday, January 29, 2022 and is now in heaven with her Lord and Savior. Carol was born June 25, 1944 the daughter of Claus and Nellie (Lemmers) Bos.

Carol was raised in Kalamazoo, MI and was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and Bronson School of Nursing. She served as a registered nurse in the Kalamazoo area her entire career.

She married Robert J. Stamm in 1965 and together they had 2 children, Greg and Amy. She and her family were active members of North Park Reformed Church her entire married life. It was very important to her to share her faith with others.

After her husband Robert (Bob), died in 2006, Carol was blessed with a second love, Ken Hopp. The two were married in 2008 and enjoyed traveling and each other, well into retirement. Together they created wonderful memories for their combined families. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Ken Hopp; son, Greg and Jodie Stamm, Kailie (Mike) Kibben, Madi, Emma; daughter, Amy (Stamm) and Tim Vreeman, Lydia, Clark, Temesgen (TJ); daughter, Stephanie (Hopp) and Matt Inman, Isaac, Katelyn; son, Kevin and Chantel Hopp, Jonathan, Logan Hiemstra; and 2 great-granddaughters.

Friends may meet the family from 5:00-7:00pm Friday, February 4 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, February 5 at North Park Reformed Church, 1316 Barney Rd with Pastor Paul Fazio officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the service and private interment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Plainwell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to North Park Reformed Church.
