Passed away Sunday morning, October 9, 2022 at his home. Bruce was born March 31, 1945 in Mwanza, East Africa the son of Glenn and Charlotte (Ebeling) Hoover. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 31 years with Mead Corporation and then 12 years with the Stryker Corporation. Bruce was handy around the house and enjoyed woodworking and reading. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. On December 23, 1966 he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 55 years, Thelma (Cripps) who survives. Also surviving are his children, Pamela (Scott) Ryder, Douglas Alan Hoover, Tina (Bob) Doerksen; 4 grandchildren, Brooke and Owen Hoover, Cameron (Elisabeth) Ryder, and Abigail Ryder; brothers, Don (Deb) Hoover, Jim (Beth) Hoover; and several nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-11:00am Friday, October 14 at Calvary Bible Church, 855 S. Drake Rd where funeral services will follow at 11:00am. A light reception will follow the service and private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest South Cemetery.
