Beverly Mae (Bowlby) Sweet

Beverly Mae Sweet passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at her home. She was born April 28, 1931, in Kalamazoo MI, daughter of Arthur and Gladys (Austin) Bowlby. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Carl. Beverly was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers and fresh vegetables. She also enjoyed fishing, quilting, crocheting, baking and most importantly, spending time with her family.

In June of 1956, Beverly married Carl Sweet who preceded her in death on November 25, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings. Beverly is survived by her children, Susan (David) Shine, and Jeff (Terri) Sweet; 5 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Yvonne Mann; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022, when services will begin at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th St, Kalamazoo MI 49009, with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. Graveside service will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, North, 1717 N. Drake Rd. In lieu of flowers please consider a gift in Beverly's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
