Born April 2, 1935, Betty died peacefully February 20, 2014 at Rose Arbor Hospice surrounded by her family. Beloved mother of Cheryl James Walhout, Daniel Kim Henshaw, Curtis Kelly Henshaw. Devoted grandma of Dane and Kelsey Walhout, Connor Henshaw, and Shelby and Shannon Henshaw. Dearest sister of Barbara Merrill, Millard "Bud" Carolyn Phillips, and Valerie Earl Baumann. Preceded in death by her parents Millard and Lucille Phillips, brothers Gordon the late Mary Sue Phillips and Gerald Phillips. Longtime employee of Kalamazoo Radiology. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. Monica Catholic Church, 534 West Kilgore Road. Visitation at the church one hour prior to mass. Private Interment to be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at Rose Arbor Hospice for the respect and care they showed to Betty. Memorials in Betty's name to Rose Arbor Hospice or St. Monica Catholic Church would be appreciated.
