Of Portage Barbara Jean Triemstra, age 67, passed away December 27, 2014 at her residence. Jean was born November 7, 1947 in Battle Creek to William and Ruth Hart Lewis. On December 20, 1966, she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Richard L. Triemstra, who preceded her in death on June 2, 2014. Surviving are two daughters, Micki Steve Rossio of Parchment and Debbie Rob Hanson of Overland Park, KS; two grandchildren, Hayley and Iain. Jean enjoyed reading and sewing. A memorial open house will be held Tuesday, January 20th from 3:00-4:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall of the First Reformed Church of Portage 7905 S. Westnedge Ave. A private graveside service will be held in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick.
