Kalamazoo, MI Died Thursday afternoon September 16, 2010 at her residence. Barbara was born March 6, 1931 in Otsego, Michigan a daughter of James and Mildred Rowe Casey. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cindy Thompson on April 16, 2000; a brother William Casey; a sister, Ruth Casey; and a step father, John Doelker. She is survived by 4 children, Robert Connie Thompson, Randy Cathy Thompson, and Rochelle Earl Beduna all of Kalamazoo, and Roger Thompson of Battle Creek; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her former spouse, Franklin Thompson of Kalamazoo; a brother, Stanley Casey of Otsego; a sister, Sharon Doelker of Otsego; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock Saturday, September 25th from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private burial will take place at a later date.
