Barbara June (Branch) Sootsman

Passed away Wednesday evening, December 16, 2020. Barb was born July 18, 1933 in Oshtemo, MI the daughter of Ralph and Alice (McCarty) Branch. Prior to her retirement she was employed for 22 years with Cadillac Overall. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, and going to stock car races in the area. On November 8, 1952 she was united in marriage to her loving husband Robert Sootsman, who preceded her in death on April 16, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her son and daughter, Ricky Sootsman and Debra Story; sons-in-law, Jerry Seibert and Harold Garnaat; and 2 brothers and 1 sister. Barb is survived by her children, Vicki Garnaat, Robert Sootsman II; son in law, Mike Story; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mae Oswalt and Gerry VanDerBor; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
