Passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, January 26, 2017 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence after a battle with cancer. Anna was born June 25, 1945 in Blair, NE to the late Cloyce and Faedetta Reedy. She was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and attended Western Michigan University. On March 26, 1966 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Gary VanDyke. Anna worked as a private secretary for the librarianship at Western Michigan University before working as a secretary for the Boy Scouts of America in Kalamazoo. She was a member and had been secretary of the Southwestern Michigan Longbeards Local Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation since 1986. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed bowling with friends at Lakeshore Lanes in Vicksburg. Anna also enjoyed sewing, and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary VanDyke; a sister, Alice Wint; nephew, George (Lauren) Hornberger; 3 nieces, Kathy Nash, Karen (Steve) Gill, and Kim (John) Warsco. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eugene Reedy; and a sister, Jacqueline Warren. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Anna's life will be held at a later date. Private interment will be in Vicksburg Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the National Wild Turkey Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 530, Edgefield, SC 29824.
