Angeline E. DenBoer

DENBOER, Angeline E. Kalamazoo Passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 in Kalamazoo. She was born on February 8, 1921 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of Henry I. and Alice Zantjer Louis and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Portage and had worked for Don's Card Hut and Hoekstra Hardware for many years. The joy of her life was her faith and her family. On February 8, 1946, she married John DenBoer, who preceded her in death on March 2, 2001. She was also preceded by her parents and her sister, Sarah Alice Vermuelen. Angeline is survived by her daughters, Carol Ann Kenneth Kannegieter of Marshall and Kathy Lynn Mark Bonnema of Grand Haven; grandchildren, Deb Scott Shepherd, Heather Jeff Hoekstra and Hollie Bonnema; great grandchildren, Katie, Clara, Chase and Avery; and a special niece and nephew, Don and Ruth Vermuelen. A private committal service will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
