Alexis Brooke Marie Garnett

Alexis Brooke Marie Garnett, age 27 of Portage, died on June 11, 2022. Alexis was born in Denver, Colorado, on November 5, 1994, the daughter of William and Lisa (Poole) Garnett and the youngest of three children. Alexis was a 2012 graduate of Harper Creek High School. Alexis was a beautiful dancer, and further explored that passion at Marymount Manhattan College, NYC, where Alexis pursued a BFA in dance performance with a minor in business. Alexis danced with a Brooklyn based dance company, and loved traveling and performing as a member of the company. Alexis was committed to environmental improvement and sustainability in both work and study, with a specific focus on compost and reusable packaging. But most of all, Alexis loved her family, friends, and big family get togethers. Surviving family includes Alexis' parents, William (Bill) and Lisa Garnett; brothers: Tyrone (Tricia) Garnett and Mitchel (Rachel) Garnett; a newly born nephew; grandparents: William (Eunice) Poole and Elaine Poole; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. Alexis was preceded in death by her grandparents: Charles William Garnett and Ida Jean Garnett. A private memorial gathering will be held.
