SCHULTZ, Jr., Albert Daniel Albert passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Kalamazoo surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 6, 1936 in Cold Springs, KY, the son of Albert D., Sr. and Charlotte M. Snyder Schultz. Al attended Kalamazoo Central High School, Class of 1953. He enlisted in the Army, serving 2 years, of which part of that time in Japan. Al spent most of his employment years in the paper industry, retiring from Georgia Pacific in 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Baughman, grandson Eric, granddaughter Kylee and 3 great grandchildren, Aden, Noah and Emma Baughman, all of Elkhart, IN. Also surviving are his sisters, Carol his special and favorite Schultz, of Kalamazoo, Roger & Sarah Northrop, of Portage, Mark & Deanna Fulton of Portage, Linda Sanders of Kalamazoo, Jenny Gormley of Portage, Ken & Becky Schmidt of Battle Creek; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Al also leaves behind special friends and neighbors, Kathy & Ron Balch and Paula & Phil Molitor. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Alan Schultz and his step-father, Chester Brown. The family would also like to thank Dr. Stephan Dallas for his special care and kindness that he gave to Albert. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 24, 2014 in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Southern Care Hospice, 4341 S. Westnedge, Ste. 2100, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.
