SCHLEY, William R., Jr.
Kalamazoo, Michigan William died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born January 23, 1947, in Dearborn, MI, a son of William R. and Alma Newmann Schley and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for the past 39 years. William owned and operated the Printmill for 25 years and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He thoroughly enjoyed all of the conversations he had with his friends. William was preceded in death by his mother. On June 21, 1969, he was united in marriage with the former Jane Mosher, who survives. Also surviving are: three children, Kirsten John Esterly of Chicago, IL, Matthew Karen Schley of Bellingham, WA, and Will Schley of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, Ethan Esterly, Isabel Esterly, Kai Schley and Ruth Schley; his father, William Schley of Dearborn; a sister, Sharon Michael Vasas of Dearborn; a brother, Terry Jackie Schley of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday from 4-8pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A memorial service will be held 12:00 noon Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3000 W. Main Street, with the Rev. David H. Sidwell, officiating. Inurnment in Mount Ever-Rest North Memorial Park will follow services.
