MARKUS, William B.
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Bill passed away Wednesday evening, March 26, 2008 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born May 4, 1933 in Chicago, IL, one of two sons to Raymond and Mary O'Toole Markus. Bill enjoyed many sports, played baseball, billiards, cards, and had a passion for playing golf. On July 31, 1982, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Markus, who survives. Also surviving are his 6 children, MaryAnn Dan Bowman of TN, Deb Tom Smalla of Otsego, Chris Terry LeRoy of Kalamazoo, and Bob Lynda Markus of Kalamazoo, Dale Markus of Chicago and Blair Dawn Markus of Mattawan; 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; 1 son, Billy Markus in 1996; and his brother, Joe Markus. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services or visitation. Private family interment will be in Genesee Prairie Cemetery.
