William ''Bill'' R. Macy

MACY, William R. ?Bill? Of Kalamazoo Passed away unexpectedly Sunday January 21, 2007. Bill was born September 16, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Robert and Shirley Parkay Macy. With his love of music he became an accomplished drummer in his early years and performed as a rock band musician. In later years he worked as a journeyman tool and die maker and was currently employed as the assistant facility manager with the Jim Gilmore Jr. Community Healing Centers. Surviving are his son, Brian C. Macy of Holland; his sister, Sue Fowler of California; niece, Kim and nephew, Jeff; his former wife, Donna Macy and many friends from the Community Healing Center. Bill was a member of the Nothing to Fear Home Group. He was passionate about helping other people and will be missed by many. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street where Funeral Services will be held beginning 1:00 pm Wednesday. Memorials in Bill?s memory may be directed to New Beginnings, Community Healing Center.
