GORDEN, William Franklin
Kalamazoo Mr. Gorden passed away Monday morning, May 19, 2008 at Tendercare of Kalamazoo. He was born October 13, 1926 in Marshall, MO, one of nine children to Dallas and Norean Tudor Gorden. Bill was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. serving during World War II. He was employed by the United States Post Office for 26 years, until his retirement in 1981. Bill was a member of Comstock Church of Christ, Veterans of Foreign War Post #6252, and Disabled American Veterans Buck Crosby Chapter #6. He was also an avid fan of Western Michigan University Basketball. On October 4, 1958, he was united in marriage to Jule P. Pasch O'Brien, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Ann Robert Campbell of Kalamazoo; 2 step-children, Ann Lown of MN, and Kay Charles Holmes of MI; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 3 sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. Cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or services. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Red Cross or the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
