Galesburg, MI Died Friday afternoon October 21, 2011 at his residence. William was born December 18, 1938 in Battle Creek, Michigan a son of William and L Marian Nay Davis. During the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Army. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was a Truck Driver for many years. William was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by 2 sons, William Pam Davis of Battle Creek and Fred "Randy" Christie Davis of Tennessee; 7 grandchildren; his former wife, Sandra Davis of Battle Creek; 2 step sons, Tim Butler of Galesburg and James Butler of Battle Creek; 3 step grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Watts of Battle Creek; and 5 nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, anatomical donation to the University of Michigan has taken place. There will be no visitation. Private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Kidney Foundation or the West Michigan Cancer Center. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
