Richland William Bill W. Dalm passed away October 31, 2009 after a two year battle with cancer. Bill was a lifelong native of Kalamazoo. Born at Bronson Hospital on July 17, 1955 to Elizabeth Witcher Dalm and Jacob A. Dalm, Jr., Bill was a person everybody liked. Everywhere Bill went he knew someone and had a friend. His family and his friends were most important in his life. Bill was an avid tennis player and fan. He proudly served as a volunteer for the Boy's 16 & 18 National Tennis Tournament where in 1989 he received the Green Jacket award for his services. Bill was on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Kalamazoo and a past president for the Kalamazoo Optimist Club. A graduate of Loy Norrix High School, Albion College, and The University of Detroit School of Law, Bill was a third generation attorney in the Kalamazoo area where he practiced for 30 years. Bill is survived by his wife of 24 years, Evelyn Pratt Dalm, and their three children Natalie, Adam and Kelton. He is also survived by his father and his brother, Dr. Stephen "Chris" Julie Dalm. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., where a memorial service will be held 1:00 Friday afternoon.
