William Baker

BAKER, William
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012. Bill was born January 1, 1926 in Delfzijl, The Netherlands, a son of Wilte and Tietje Kruizinga Bakker and came the United States when he was 30 years old. He was a teacher in the Kalamazoo Public Schools for over 25 years and was active in Second Christian Reformed Church and Westwood Christian Reformed Church. On December 19, 1954, he married Gretchen Horst, who survives. Also surviving are their sons, Alex Terri Baker of San Francisco, CA and David Charlotte Baker of Canton, MI; and 5 grandchildren. A Memorial Service to honor Bill's life will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Westwood Christian Reformed Church, 620 Northampton, with Pastors Fred De Young and Henry De Vries officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St.
