of Paw Paw Passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo. Bill was born September 23, 1936 in Hillsdale, Michigan to the Honorable Judge Charles O. and Lillian Haynes Arch. From October of 1957 through September of 1959, Bill served in the U.S. Army until honorably discharged. He was united in marriage to Janet Davis on August 18, 1962 in Hillsdale, MI. She survives him. Bill?s love of family was first and foremost. He served as a tool & die journeyman for 35 years, 32 of them with General Motors. He had a love of, and was very devoted to the martial arts, specifically, the Okinawan Uechi-Ryu style. He achieved the rank of 7th degree black belt and he shared his passion as an instructor at the Maple Street YMCA for many years. He also loved to travel in his motor home. Surviving him are; children, Timothy Julie Arch, Julie Chris Arch Zainea and Simon Brewer, all of Portage; 4 grandchildren; sister, Mary Hoover and; brother, Charles Arch Sr.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters. Memorial services will be held at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, Thursday, November 29th at 2:00PM. Family will receive friends from 1 ? 2:00, just prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Salvation Army, 1700 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001
