DROBNY, Wilhelmina
Galesburg, MI Passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009. She was born May 5, 1920 in Chelsea, WI , one of 13 children born to Michael and Albertina Krueger Bahr. Mrs. Drobny lived in Galesburg since 1940, worked as a paper sorter for Sutherland Paper Company, built tanks during the war and with her husband, owned and operated the Drobny Farms in Galesburg. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Kalamazoo. On May 30, 1940, she married Stanley John Drobny, who preceded her in death in March, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Michael "Mike" Drobny and Robert "Bob" Drobny; a granddaughter, Mayakla Elisse Drobny; 7 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Mariann Linn Drobny of Galesburg; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Edmund Ada Bahr of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St. with Pastor Louis W. Grother officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
