POUNTAIN, Wayne E. Portage Passed away on December 12, 2006 in Plant City, FL. Wayne was born July 11, 1934, a son of the late Gerald and Charlotte Valentine Pountain. He was a retired salesman. Surviving are his wife of 49 years Joyce Keast Pountain and 7 children, Deanna Mike Shumaker of Plant City, FL, Sandra Lerette of Kalamazoo, Gary Miriam Pountain of Portage, Michael Robin Beth Pountain of Portage, Jon Pountain of Smyrna, GA, Brenda David Hill of Richland and Carla Puett of El Paso, TX; 16 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Kenneth Pountain of Grand Rapids, Donald Reta Pountain of Allegan and Robert Patricia Pountain of Las Vegas, NV; several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family on Tuesday, January 2 from 9-11 am followed by a memorial service at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. 343-1508 A luncheon will follow the service at the Portage/Schoolcraft Eagles on Shaver Rd. Inurnment with military honors will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 3 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the committal service should gather in the funeral cortege assembly area at Ft. Custer by 9:45 am. Memorial contributions in Wayne?s memory may be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center, St. Jude?s Children?s Hospital or the charity of your choice.
